Greyhound House Collars and Whippet House Collars:
House collars are especially prominent in the sighthound community. We all know what our hounds can be like when they see something they want to chase, so it can happen that they may bolt past you through the front door, or find another exit route.
We would not recommend using a house collar to attach a lead to though as especially with sighthounds, you want a wider collar to protect their necks, and sighthounds also have a tendency to slip collars due to their slim heads and necks, so if you want to use a collar for walks then a martingale collar is recommended. However, it is a legal requirement in the UK for your dog to have their ID tags on them at all times, so even if you’re using a harness, our house collars make a great addition on walks for this reason. If they have to wear a collar anyway, you’d may as well treat them to one that is super comfy!
